Data Security Council of India (DSCI), a leading industry organisation founded by NASSCOM, promoted senior vice president Vinayak Godse and named him the organisation’s new CEO. Vinayak Godse will succeed Rama Vedashree, who oversaw Data Security Council of India (DSCI) for nearly six years. Vedashree also served on the Justice BN Srikrishna committee, which was charged with developing a model for the nation’s Personal Data Protection Bill.
Vinayak Godse will start serving as CEO of Data Security Council of India (DSCI) from October 1. A selection committee of the Data Security Council of India (DSCI) Board, led by current chairman Rajendra S. Pawar, former Data Security Council of India (DSCI) chairman Dr. N. Balakrishnan, NASSCOM President, and other board members, made the decision.
Vinayak Godse has been a part of Data Security Council of India (DSCI) from its foundation and has more than 27 years of experience in telecom infrastructure, information security, and IT transformation.
In addition to overseeing the National Centre of Excellence for Cybersecurity Technology and Entrepreneurship, a joint project of Data Security Council of India (DSCI) and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Vinayak Godse has been managing the tech team and major events during his 14 years with Data Security Council of India (DSCI).
