UP police deploys 7 new bomb disposal squads for safe construction of Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir

In view of the construction of Ram Mandir in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya, two teams of Bomb Disposal and Detection Squad (BDDS) were deployed separately for security purposes.

Sources said that five more teams of BDDS were set up at Allahabad High Court, Lucknow Bench High Court, Varanasi Commissionerate, Pradeshik Armed Constabulary (PAC) Gonda and Lucknow Secretariat Complex.

Two BDDS teams were deployed separately in Ayodhya for the security of the Ram Janmabhoomi complex. Along with the BDDS, two additional Anti-Sabotage Check teams have also been deployed in Ayodhya.

With the addition of these seven new units, the BDDS teams of the UP Police’s security wing have increased at the state level for the first time in 13 years. Currently, there are 31 BDDS teams that have been deployed across the state.
