SIS India in its efforts to ensure the well being of its large number of employees has enhanced the Humare Heroes Covid Welfare Fund corpus with an additional infusion INR 5 crores with effect from the 1st of May, 2021. In April 2020, in order to ensure that SIS family members on duty in those critical times were adequately covered, SIS Founder & Group Chairman, Mr. R.K.Sinha had announced, SIS Group Humare Heroes Covid Welfare Fund of INR 5 crores to be utilised for extending medical and other assistance to COVID infected employees. The Humare Heroes Covid Welfare Fund has now been topped up to Rs 10 crore.
The information of this enhanced welfare scheme was shared with the SIS family by Group Managing Director Mr. Rituraj Sinha.
Over the last twelve months, 3371 SIS Group family members have received support from this welfare fund.
Given the prevailing conditions during the ongoing pandemic, the company has now decided to enhance the fund. Furthermore, in order to best safeguard health and well being of the frontline teams, SIS Group is launching a vaccination drive from 1st May, 2021. So far, 17,815 SIS Group family members have been innoculated.
The company says that the goal now is to register and help vaccinate the rest of its Corona warriors at the earliest. To achieve this objective,1726 vaccination centres across 112 cities and 25 states have been identified and micro project planning to get this done is underway.
All 364 SIS Group branch and regional offices have also been mandated to organise essential supplies for extending immediate assistance to SIS group employees, its customers, and other associates in the present difficult time.
SIS Group has been in the forefront of the battle against the pandemic since it broke out early last year. As essential services staff, its guards, janitors, cash van crews, fumigation technicians, operations teams have worked for months to support government agencies and its clients, including over 400 hospitals.
The company’s private security personnel have helped maintain order in chaos and acted as the first-line-of-defence for COVID protocols implementation. Its cleaning, hygiene and sanitation teams have assisted hospitals, public utilities and private establishments remain operational while reducing Covid-19 infection risk. SIS India’s cash van crews have supported banks to keep up the currency cycle flows in the remotest corners of India.
