ADI offers Kwikset home automation products

Kwikset, a manufacturer of access control solutions, is now offering its suite of Smartcode locks with Home Connect technology for both Z-Wave and Zigbee wireless protocols at ADI branches in North America. The new distribution agreement satisfies growing demand for wireless security and home automation solutions.

“We fully expect to see home automation continue to push into the mainstream in 2013 as there are signs this technology is gaining momentum in the market,” stated Keith Brandon, director, sales and marketing, Kwikset. “Through our relationship with ADI, dealers will not only have more wireless lock options to choose from but also greater access to Kwikset’s superior patented security features, such as Smartkey re-key technology and Bumpguard lock bumping protection, which are not otherwise available on the market.”

Kwikset’s Smartcode deadbolts and levers integrate with home security and automation systems, allowing the locks to communicate with other wireless products. Home Connect technology allows customers to control entry points and door locks remotely through smartphones and tablets. Other key features of the Kwikset locks with Home Connect technology include a motorised deadbolt, and the option of 20 different styles that allow homeowners to match their homes’ architecture.
