GB Singh, Group Editor of India’s most popular monthly magazines SECURTY TODAY & SECURITY UPDATE and Chairman and Managing Director of 1st ASSET, the pioneering security education and training organization in India has been conferred the coveted Global Security Contribution Award / Gold Shield Award. This award nomination recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution to the development of the Global Security Industry over a sustained period of time, it is organized by the world’s largest professional security exhibition-CPSE Security Expo Organizing Committee and Global Security Industry Alliance.
Once every two years only 12 outstanding individuals from countries around the world are conferred with this prestigious award. The Awards Committee looks at parameters such as nominee’s history of service and personal standing in the Global security Industry (GSI), his / her significant contribution and positive influence in GSI, technological innovations (if any) and contribution towards environmental protection and social responsibility etc.
“I am truly delighted to receive this award,” said a beaming Mr. Singh. “I’m grateful to the Awards Committee and feel humbled at this singular global recognition for my over 25 years of sustained contribution to the Private Security Industry in India and abroad. This is not just an honor for me but the entire nation,” he added.
The awards were presented at a glittering ceremony at the Sheraton in Shenzhen City, China on 29th Oct 2013. Over 300 international dignitaries attended the awards dinner function, which was held in conjunction with the world’s biggest security trade show called CPSE.
The Global Security Industry Alliance (GSIA) is an Alliance designed to unite the global security community around the principles of fairness, honesty, innovation, sharing, open communication, and “win-win” strategic cooperation. GSIA serves a “concierge” and shared “living” resource repository for the global security community. The GSIA’s programs and services are designed to be used interchangeably at either the Local or Global level. While GSIA works at the global level to actively promote industry resources and organizations, it also works find ways to bring those global resources to support the local activities of its individual Alliance members and strategic partners
