Amid the recent global spike in COVID-19 infections, Reed Exhibitions on has announced that it has decided to reschedule next year’s in-person ISC West trade show. The event, which had originally been scheduled to take place in March, will now be held July 19-21 in Las Vegas.
“We’re pleased to have a plan in place to produce ISC West in 2021, and after a long respite, the ISC and SIA teams look forward to welcoming our customers back to Las Vegas for strong education, demos, product announcements, awards ceremonies, networking opportunities, special events, and more,” read a statement issued by Reed regarding the move.
In March when the pandemic was still in its infancy, Reed announced that the 2020 edition of the show, which was supposed to take place March 17-20, would be moved to July. However, just a month later, Reed changed course again and announced that the event would be postponed until October. In late June, Reed cancelled the 2020 in-person event and announced that the show would be converted to an all-virtual format. The virtual edition of ISC West took place last month.
“As a business owner myself, I know we are all adjusting to the pandemic, and I thought it would be helpful for us all to announce the rescheduled dates as early as possible. I hope this helps provide some better planning clarity to our membership and for the people who attend, exhibit, or otherwise participate at ISC West,” SIA Chairman and Northland Controls CEO Mr. Pierre Trapanese wrote in an email to SIA members following the announcement.
