Tyco appoints new Executive VP

Tyco has confirmed the appointment of Johan F. Pfeiffer as Executive Vice President, Rest of World Installation & Services. In this role, Mr. Pfeiffer will have responsibility for Tyco’s commercial fire and security and residential security businesses in all regions outside of North America, a segment with $3.9 billion in revenue in fiscal year 2014. He will report to George Oliver, Tyco’s Chief Executive Officer. Most recently, Mr. Pfeiffer served as Vice President of FMC Technologies, leading its global Surface Technologies and Energy Infrastructure businesses.

Prior to joining Tyco, Mr. Pfeiffer had a 22-year career with FMC Corporation and FMC Technologies. Before his most recent role, he was Vice President of FMC Technologies’ Surface Wellhead businesses. Previously, he advanced through a series of business line general management roles in Europe, Latin America and North America. He began his career as an engineer with Dow Chemical in Switzerland. Mr. Pfeiffer holds a bachelor’s degree in materials science engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. He also earned advanced degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, including a master’s degree in international studies from the Lauder Institute and an MBA from the Wharton School.
