Telco Systems wins $3.7M government contract

Telco Systems, a leading provider of innovative SDN & NFV and multi-service Carrier Ethernet 2.0 and MPLS edge access solutions, has been awarded a significant contract to be the sole supplier for the delivery of a leading-edge cyber security solution to a government defense ministry. Initially worth $3.7M, Telco Systems expects accumulated orders to increase to over $10M by 2017, with a total value estimated by the customer of approximately $20M over the next five years.

Telco Systems was awarded the long-term contract following a rigorous proof-of-concept (POC) programme conducted over a two-year period in which its solution was deemed the best-of-breed among its competitors. The cyber security solution, based on the company’s premium 10G networking platforms and Celare’s proprietary software, will be deployed in two stages in Q4 2015 and Q1 2016. Deployment is expected to be completed in 2016 with expansion to follow.

Telco Systems utilises Celare’s software which enables comprehensive network monitoring for detecting, investigating and analysing network threats and advanced persistent threats (APTs). Several of these solutions are currently undergoing POC programmes with potential customers. Celare’s technology detects unknown threats based on complex algorithms for identifying network anomalies.
