South India gets its first industry trade show- SAFE-2015

UBM India, host of IFSEC India, is set to host Security and Fire Expo 2015, to be held at the Chennai Trade Centre from 1st -3rd July 2015. SAFE 2015, in addition to bringing together the security and fire industry in the region, will provide an industry platform for organisations to capitalise the potential of the South Indian security market while showcasing global industry trends and innovations.

The fire safety market in India is witnessing a radical growth with market value expected to surpass US$ 4.94 billion by 2019. Increasing at 30% per year, the Indian commercial security market too is expected to surpass a value of US$ 1.4 billion by 2016.

South India being the largest base for IT/ITes companies in the country, has been proactive in providing a safe environment for trade and business associations, creating industry standards with their investments, infrastructure and security projects. The combination of government initiatives, increasing awareness regarding fire safety and security, asset management and enhanced implementation and compliance with state level regulations has further fuelled the market’s growth.

On the sidelines of the announcement, Yogesh Mudras, Acting Managing Director, UBM India said, “Over 25% of the central PSUs have their registered headquarters located in Tamil Nadu. UBM India has strategically chosen the state capital to host SAFE 2015 owing to its accessibility to leading companies across industries. The event will also be a launch pad for leading security companies to introduce products in an emerging market, whilst establishing relationships with key decision-makers.
