Pune’s new Cyber Security Centre is the ‘online supercop’

The International Cyber Security Centre launched in Baner by Incedo, a US-based IT services and consulting firm, will play a key role in monitoring real-time threats in the field of data and financial fraud management. It will also help government agencies in protecting critical national data from leakages and security breaches. Constructed at a cost of $2 million, the centre boasts of one of the best IT and digital infrastructure and aims to transform the cyber security landscape, both at the national and global level.The centre has been set up in a strategic partnership with security and compliance solutions provider Tripwire, the global provider of security and compliance solutions for enterprises, industrial organisations and government agencies.

The centre aims at providing cutting-edge research and development (R&D) in the field of cyber security and will also be actively pursuing R&D in a number of varied areas in the cyber security domain including network security, cloud security, threat detection, data analytics and intrusion log generation with verification. The centre will also lay special focus on vulnerability and penetration testing of web applications and networks.

The centre plans to tap into the vast talent pool of skilled information technology (IT) and security professionals and Incedo has initiated operations with a team of highly skilled analysts, developers and researchers on Tripwire’s solutions and products. The firm expects to expand their team to over 100 specialist engineers and experts throughout 2018. The team will also focus on building analytics across various offerings and simplifying customer experiences, allowing them to secure their critical on-premise and cloud systems.
