Around one lakh CCTV cameras would be installed in Greater Hyderabad in the next few months before the World Metropolis Congress meet in October this year, said Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) commissioner Somesh Kumar.
GHMC will insist on installation of closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras for buildings where 100 or more people are likely to gather, while issuing building permissions or trade licenses, he said.
