Check the functioning of CCTV cameras and explain the benefits of installing these cameras in their colonies to all sections of people,” Police Commissioner VB Kamalasan Reddy directed the personnel of technical department at a meeting held recently.
The staff of technical department of all police stations that fall under Karimnagar Police Commissionerate participated in the meeting.The Police Commissioner said that it is the responsibility of police officials of technical department to protect the CCTV cameras that were installed with the donations by the people through ‘Nenu Saitham’ programme.
They should immediately rectify technical problems if they find any and check the standards of CCTV cameras regularly. One more training programme will be conducted for the officials of the technical department in this regard. Whatever doubts regarding the functioning of CCTV cameras, the officials must clear them during the training session, he suggested. Kamalasan Reddy told the staff to explain to the public about the many cases that were cracked down with the help of CCTV footage and must motivate them for installing cameras in their colonies. Cops must acquire knowledge about modern technology for discharging their duties perfectly, he added.
