ChatGPT can pose security threats: Report

The United States Space Force has temporarily banned its users from using generative artificial tools while on duty to protect government data, stated Cointelegraph.
“Generative AI will undoubtedly revolutionise our workforce and enhance Guardian’s ability to operate at speed,” Lisa Costa, chief, space operations for technology and innovation, Space Force’s deputy, explained.

With insights from Bloomberg News, the US Space Force has temporarily discontinued the use of web-based generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools and large language models(LLMs) that power them. This step is expected to be taken for data security and other concerns, among others.

Furthermore, “US Space Force has temporarily banned the use of web-based generative artificial intelligence tools and so-called large language models that power them, citing data security and other concerns, according to a memo seen by Bloomberg News,” Cointelegraph concluded.
