India Fire & Security Yatra begins on a high note in Bangalore

With an aim to promote the advance usage of fire safety and security systems across the country, the Indian Fire and Security Yatra, 2014 commenced with its first roadshow in Bangalore. The 11 day show which is a strategic tie-up between UBM and FSAI saw some of the major Indian and global Fire and Security players such as Honeywell, Tyco, Autocop, Hikvision, and Toshiba.

The key topics of discussion include Indian 100-smart cities Initiative – opportunities for Safety & Security Professionals & Companies, Smart Video Analytics – Opportunities and Challenges for Indian Environment and Engineering Life Safety measures and Design by Choice among others.

On the occasion of the initiative, Rajan Luthra, national president – FSAI said, ”The India Fire & Security Yatra will enable intensive knowledge exchange amongst the stakeholders and thought leaders in the safety and security domain. We believe this strategic initiative by FSAI in partnership with UBM India will help in addressing the needs of the industry in India in a sustainable manner”.

Commenting on the occasion, Joji George, managing director, UBM India said,” The India security industry today is marked by an increasingly sophisticated nature of threats which is driving organisations towards more awareness and adoption of security”.
